Gliding Lessons and Courses at Essex & Suffolk Gliding Club

• Come and fly with the premier all-volunteer gliding club in East Anglia. Young  or old — find a new hobby and make new friends! Come and try one of our flights suitable for newcomers or experienced flyers.

• Trial Lessons, Gliding Experiences and Mini Day Courses are available for sale at ESGC’s clubhouse.   If you wish to enquire about short term availability over the next 7-14 days please contact our Booking Office directly on 07486 438934 or by email at sales@esgc.co.uk (email is usually best).  You will be booked in on your preferred date and time, and can pay for the voucher by cash or card on the day.

• Unfortunately as our airfield landlord has made the decision not to renew ESGC’s 35 year lease, we are temporarily suspending the sale of long-term gift vouchers as the club will be relocating from Wormingford in September 2026. Outstanding gift vouchers issued by ESGC will remain valid until their expiry date. No extensions or refunds will be possible.

• Alternatively you can buy a Discover Gliding or Go For Gliding voucher on the British Gliding Association website and utilise it at a gliding club of your choice.

• Thank you for supporting ESGC over the past 35 years – we’ll all be very sorry to leave our beloved airfield!
