What great a day we had yesterday!
Some great flying all day long with the first launch a little later than planned at roughly 6:30am, due to rain and cloud. We had a pilot from another club come and fly with us in his K6E who grabbed the chance to participate in the fun, and after a quick site check he was off.
Other members also enjoyed the day with the last glider finally touching down at 9:28pm. I think we can all say we had a great day and a HUGE THANK YOU to Andy Sanderson for organizing the day, and to everyone that came to help including winch drivers, Instructors and general airfield volunteers, without whom we wouldn’t have been able to have such a great day flying.
Bring on next year 🙂
Thanks – I didn’t do much really except resurrect an old tradition… next year and 2015 it will be on the weekend so hopefully we can do the same and get even more people involved. Maybe the weather will be better too, but considering the forecast this time, I think we were lucky.
