South Africa Sailplane Grand Prix
It’s worth taking some time to check out the Sailplane Grand Prix currently taking place at Worcester in South Africa. They set a 712k task on Day 1 – flown mostly without turning! Subsequent days have been averaging tasks of 400k that can be experienced via live coverage on the web link above.

Bronze Cross Country Achievements During 2014
This year is almost over but we continue to see additions to the long list of achievements within our 2014 ESGC licencing incentive, including Richard Hayhoe completing his Bronze Cross Country Endorsement with Den Heslop last week. Congratulations to Richard and all the other members who successfully passed their XC or achieved other badges during the year.

Flying single-seat microlight powered sailplanes
Following recent dialogue between BGA, BMAA and the CAA, the CAA has published an Information Notice explains why pilots holding an SLMG class rating or a LAPL(S)/SPL can fly single-seat microlight powered sailplanes that are within the allowed mass limit.
